CAG Launches $2M R&D Hub to Expand Hydrocolloids Blending Capacity to 3,000 Ton

With a total investment of RMB13.5 million (approximately $1,980,000 USD), the 60‑day initiative marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to enhance innovation capabilities and production scalability.

The project involves the reconstruction of approximately 1,800 square meters of facilities, featuring three core functional zones:

1. Next‑Generation R&D Laboratory: Equipped with advanced rheometers and texture analyzers to deepen research on gel networking and texture architecture.

2. Intelligent Compounding Processing Center: Integrating high‑precision gravimetric feeding systems and automated mixing lines to ensure batch‑to‑batch consistency.

3. State‑of‑the‑Art Packaging Workshop: Upgraded to meet stringent international food safety standards.

Upon completion, CAG’s annual hydrocolloid blending capacity will expand to 3,000 tons. This expansion is expected to significantly reduce lead times for key product lines, including gummy premixes, jelly powders, dairy stabilizers, and juice stabilizers, while reinforcing CAG’s supply chain resilience in the Asia‑Pacific region and beyond.
